Grown on a high plateau at the foot of Mount Kerinci, this coffee comes from the Koerintji Barokah Bersama Cooperative in Sumatra, where more than 300 smallholder farmers cultivate coffee in rich volcanic soils shaped by constant tectonic movement. This dramatic, cool but humid landscape gives the coffee its vivid and expressive character.

This natural process lot opens with a sharp, aromatic lift, immediately bright and inviting. In the cup, it’s silky and juicy, bursting with ripe blueberry and fresh orange. Strawberry sweetness follows, layered with playful notes of wine gums, candy floss, and sherbet lemons. As the coffee cools, a soft floral hint of lavender drifts through, while the finish settles into a marmalade-like aftertaste.

Behind each cup is a cooperative-led model focused on quality and resilience: hand-harvested cherries, rigorous sorting, careful drying on raised beds, and shared investment in infrastructure, training, and shade-tree planting. The result is a coffee that captures both its volcanic origin and the collective care of the community that produces it.
